#4001 Western Papermaking: Pulp Play, with Anne Covell - May 21

$ 150.00

This one-day class will be a crash course in the use of paper pulp as a medium for imagemaking. We we will begin with the basics of sheetforming and will progress to learning techniques for layering and creating thin veils, embedding objects, and markmaking in wet pulp. Through use of colored pulp, stencils, paint brushes, and squeeze bottles, students will create unique handmade papers that, when dry, can serve as a basis for further exploration.

Please come prepared to make paper - wear shoes that provide good footing if they get wet and bring an apron or work clothes.

Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 9 am to 4 pm. There is a $40 materials fee, payable to BookArtsLA.
