#5100 Drumleaf Binding, January 30 - morning, with Anne Covell
The Drumleaf Binding is an ideal structure for featuring photographs, prints, or drawings that span the spread of a book. In this binding, individual folios are folded, stacked, and glued at the spine and tipped at the fore-edge. There is no sewing to interrupt the images. The spine remains flexible, allowing open pages to lay flat.
In this workshop, students will complete one hardcover binding with a decorative Japanese tissue spine. Students in this class will be provided with a descriptive handout and materials list in advance of the class to allow students to bind along with the instructor during the demonstration.
This is a online class. Information about participating by zoom will be sent to all participants in advance. We encourage you to enroll early so you can gather the materials and supplies and work along during the class.
Drumleaf Binding, Saturday, January 30 from 10 am to Noon
This is a Virtual Class, you will attend by zoom. The link to the class will be sent one day in advance.

Try to prepare a workspace so you have some room to work, and a space to connect to the class.
Only include who needs to be there. We hope you catch the spirit and want to teach everyone you know how to make books. Plan to do that after the class, please don't include family members, neighbors, pets in this call.
