#5078 Slotted Tape/Papercase Binding, with Anne Covell - Mar 22, 9 to noon
The slotted tape binding is a contemporary adaptation of the historic paper case binding, also known as the limp vellum binding, that was prominent throughout Europe during the late-Medieval period. In this binding, sections are sewn on supports that are laced through a limp or semi-limp cover to provide a simple and durable non-adhesive attachment. This structure is easily adaptable and can work well with as little as two sections or many more, making it an ideal structure for artists' books and/or sketchbooks.
Sunday, March 22 from 9 am to 12 noon
Course fee $85 plus a materials fee of $15
This class is open to all levels and can be taken individually or in conjunction with the Drumleaf binding (afternoon session on March 22).
