#5074 Modular Board Book with Clamshell Box, with Betsy Holster - Feb 15-16

During this two-day workshop, we will be making a modular folding board book with a total of 12 board panels.  The board panels have paper hinges that allow the tri-fold boards to be arranged in a variety of configurations.  

Participants will also make a clamshell box to house the board book.  The board panels can be used to display prints, decorative papers or collages that are created thematically. 

Saturday and Sunday, February 15-16 from 9 am to 4pm 

Course fee $250 plus a materials fee of $30

Betsy (Elizabeth) Holster received her undergraduate degree in art from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, her Masters degree in art from Northern Michigan University, and her MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from Goddard College. Betsy started teaching at CSU, Fullerton in fall of 2005. She has worked in a variety of media, involving a wide range of book forms. Betsy’s work centers on the ecosystem and physical environment that she finds herself in. Before moving to southern California, this ecosystem was the Lake Superior Watershed. She is beginning to take a more global approach in her artwork.

Workshop Refund/Cancellation Policy: 

All refunds will be assessed a $20 administrative fee. Students must submit a refund request at least 7 days before the start date of a class to be issued a full refund, less the administrative fee. Requests submitted between 7 days and the start date of a class will be eligible for a 50% refund, less the administrative fee. No refunds will be issued on the day a class begins, or following the first class (if it meets multiple times).

Classes missed by students cannot be refunded or rescheduled, and makeup classes will not be provided to students who miss a regularly scheduled class. Classes with insufficient enrollment may be cancelled prior to the first class. Every effort will be made to notify the student regarding cancellation within 3 days before the first class.

If BookArtsLA cancels the class, the student will receive a full refund.
